Thank You Aspen Elementary School

Students from Aspen Elementary School file into the theaterThis week I had the pleasure of speaking to the students at Aspen Elementary School and am very appreciative to all those who helped arrange the visit. Patti Wheeler and I would like to thank a few people specifically — IT specialist Jonathan Geller, 3rd grade teacher Dana Pingatore, and librarian Lisa May Howard, all of whom put in time to make sure the visit was a success. A big thanks also goes out to Explore Booksellers, for their continued support, and to all the teachers and students who sent us wonderful emails and messages after the presentation. Your kind words made our day!Wow, what an exciting visit! The students at Aspen Elementary are just awesome. Their questions were fun, entertaining and thought provoking. Judging by their enthusiasm, I'd say there were lots of adventurous young explorers in the group. Some future authors, as well. Our photo slideshow takes students on a global adventure. Our goal with each school visit, and the book series as a whole, is to bring the magic of the natural world and far-away cultures to young people and their families. Today's visit in Aspen — as well as recent visits to Shorecrest Preparatory School in St. Petersburg, FL, St. Mary's Episcopal School in Tampa, FL, and Pomona Elementary School in Grand Junction, CO. — have left us encouraged that we are achieving our goal.Introducing book #4, Travels with Gannon & Wyatt Greenland, available October 7Thank you one and all!
