Cub Scouts Rule!

Travels with Gannon & Wyatt display at the Cub-O-Ree in Bastrop, TXWow, did I have an awesome time hanging out with the Cub Scouts at the Cub-O-Ree! The event was held at the Lost Pines Scout Reserve, outside Bastrop, Texas. Among 400 wooded acres of fun and games, Scouts were taught how to set up a proper wilderness camp, briefed in first aid, learned how to use a Ham Radio, and sharped many other outdoor survival skills. I thought the Ham radio was especially cool, and listened in as the Cub Scouts spoke with people from dozens of states across the country.During the day, I had the pleasure of speaking with hundreds of young, adventurous Cub Scouts and their parents and want to thank them for inviting me to the event. For those who left with a copy of Travels with Gannon & Wyatt: Botswana, I sincerely hope you are enjoying the adventure!Signing books for the Cub Scouts Discussing my adventures in Botswana with several Cub Scouts.
